This 4 hour (8.5 km) return bushwalk sets out to find the elusive ‘Hairy Geebung’, an extremely rare plant that can only be found in Hornsby Shire. We follow Calna Creek as it winds its way up Lyrebird Gully, past its saltwater influences and rocky waterfalls to the pleasant freshwater sections. The track may be rough at times, but the journey is certainly worth it!

Grade: 3.5 (moderately challenging to challenging) – sections of trail are hilly, steep and rough. More information about walk grades
Suitability: Adults and older teens (16-19 years) with some bushwalking experience and a moderate level of fitness. Not suitable for children.
Nearest train station: there is no train station close to this event.
